When we got Hokulani she wasn't the heaviest or the widest of the litter, she was actually skinny, tall and kind of awkward, what she had going for her was the color of her coat. Look at her now! Being tall when she was a puppy was a blessing, now she is tall, wide, and has that amazing color.
I guess picking a puppy is like a box of chocolate's you never know what you will get!

This past July my family and I went to the Big Island for vacation. My wife and daughter wanted to visit TNT pits to see puppies that were left from a previous litter. I didn't want to go, because I had no intention of bringing

home a dog, but the next day I found myself at the front door of TNT shaking hands with Tyrone. Two puppies were left, a boy and a girl. I wasn't afraid we were going to take the male home, as my wife and I planned early on not to acquire any males for the kennel. If I could keep the visit short and sweet, not let them get attached to the female,

I might have my way. The plan worked, before I knew it I was shaking Tyrone's hand as we left with no puppy. On the drive to the Hotel everyone was quiet, so in passing I said, "that big boy sure was a good looking dog", thinking no way it would change the out come of the plan. I was so wrong, within two minutes the big boy had a name

"King Koa" and the car was heading back to Tyrone's house. The rest is history. So all I can say to the guy's who are interested in one of our puppies please bring your wife and your children!

P.S. I am very happy "THE PLAN" didn't work, Koa is turning out to be a great dog.

Koa's father is unreal, Helmet measures 28 inches at the shoulder, get a tape measure and see how tall that is, you will be amazed, we are hoping Koa brings some of that height to our kennel. Weight is 132 pounds. His litter mate Morran out of Alabama Iron pitbulls is consider to be one of the biggest pitbulls in the country, at 159 pounds.
